For more than 40 years EWIKON has been focusing on the development and manufacturing of high performance hot runner technology. We are proud to see that this dedication to our job continuously leads to benchmark-setting innovations in the injection moulding industry and thus contributes to our customers’ success.
EWIKON is an owner-managed independent company with clear structures. These are ideal preconditions for a value-based and strictly customer-oriented company policy.
All EWIKON hot runner systems and components are exclusively produced in Germany. At the headquarters in Frankenberg EWIKON employs more than 300 people in development, production and sales. Their qualifications, skills and commitment make EWIKON a trusted partner for the global injection moulding industry.

Company history
The continuous development of the company is characterised by stability but also the courage to face new challenges with forward-looking decisions and investments. Here a short history:
1979 | EWIKON Entwicklung und Konstruktion GmbH & Co. KG is found in order to manufacture, launch and further develop the patented "cold" internally heated and low-voltage hot runner system |
1982 | EWIKON moves to own company building. |
1986 | EWIKON has more than 100 employees. |
1987 - 1989 | Subsidiaries in Great Britain, France and North America founded |
1990 | Change of name to EWIKON Heißkanalsysteme GmbH & Co. KG |
1993 | Office space and seminar rooms extended |
1994 | Introduction of the externally heated HPS III 230 V hot runner system |
1995 | Further extension of the production area |
1997 | Quality management system receives certification according to DIN ISO 9001 |
1999 | R&D department moves to a separate building |
2000 | Introduction of the new HPS III-NVI valve gate system with integrated drive unit |
2001 | More than 200 employees. |
2004 | Celebration of 25th company anniversary. |
2007 | Production area extended (new assembly hall). |
2008 | Introduction of a new patent pending nozzle concept (HPS III-MH nozzle) for direct side gating of plastic components, particularly for the medical and packaging industry. |
2009 | Extension of the MH multi-tip range with a valve gate version |
2010 | Change of name to EWIKON Heißkanalsysteme GmbH |
2012 | Extension of company building (new offices for sales and design departments, new personnel facilities) |
2015 | Production area extended, new offices for technical administration. |
2017 | More than 300 employees in Frankenberg, a total of 325 worldwide |
2018 | EWIKON expands its range of products with COOLSHOT, a new cold runner system for the processing of LSR |
2019 | Completion of a new assembly hall with integrated office and administration building. |
2020 | More than 320 employees in Frankenberg, a total of 345 worldwide |
2021 | Introduction of the second generation of the smart CONTROL process monitoring system |
2022 | EWIKON subsidiary in Singapore founded for South-East-Asia |
2023 | Standardisation of high-cavity hot halves pro MATRIX |
2024 | Introduction of pro EDGE VG (side valve gate nozzle) and pro SHOT (energy-efficient nozzle series) |
2025 | EWIKON subsidiary in USA founded in Rockford, Illinois |
